We have an exciting opportunity for a Modern Workplace Engineer to join Norgine.

The person holding this position will report to Senior Director Enterprise Solutions.

The Modern Workplace Engineer is responsible for analysing, designing, and implementing business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness by using technology.

This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify requirements and areas for improvement, using existing tools and methodologies to streamline processes, and ensuring that changes align with the company's strategic goals.

This role primarily focuses (but not only) on the practical application like M365 Suite (Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, SharePoint and CoPilot) as well as other Open-AI based tools to meet operational needs and improve user workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Business Process/Model Rethink, Analyze and identify opportunities to improve processes, practices, and procedures using prescribed methodologies.
  2. Continuous Improvement
  3. Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.
  4. Improvement/Innovation
  5. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  6. Business Requirements Identification
  7. Collaborate with business functions to gather and document requirements for technical solutions, identifying opportunities to replace manual or inefficient processes. Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
  8. Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"
  9. Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required, including workflows, procedures and guidelines.
  10. Processes Automation
  11. Analyze business processes to identify and implement use cases for Automation across departments, including task automation, data summarisation, and content generation. Develop software tools that automate routine tasks through existing user interfaces. Create smart workflows via Power Apps, integrating tasks performed by humans and machines and using best practices for scalability and maintainability. Create and manage Power Automate flows to support repeatable business processes.
  12. Technical Support
  13. Provide advice, training, and assistance to users to resolve complex queries, and ensure smooth adoption of process and tool capabilities.
  14. Technology Implementation
  15. Support specific technology implementation processes, aiding in the optimization of technology use.
  16. Insights and Reporting
  17. Generate reports on process improvement initiatives, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for further improvement. Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports to monitor the effectiveness of implemented processes and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Monitor technology roadmap and evaluate potential use cases for new features within the organisation.
  18. Personal Capability Building
  19. Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfil personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  20. Compliance Responsibility
  21. Complies with applicable rules, laws, regulations and guidance governing their role responsibilities

Experience Required:

  • Technology or related field, or Equivalent Level
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information
