A leading charity in the West Midlands seeks a full-time Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate. The role involves providing essential support to victims, conducting assessments, and helping clients navigate their recovery. Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity operating across the Black Country and wider West Midlands. We provide accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. Our services include advocacy, civil remedies, court support, individual and group support, and access to therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs-led.
BCWA's Modern Slavery Support Service is a specialist service offering accommodation and community support to victims of modern-day slavery and human trafficking. These victims have accessed the National Referral Mechanism and are supported under the Home Office national contracting arrangements. BCWA leads service provision in the West Midlands and collaborates with key agencies to assess risks and develop tailored support plans. Our support ensures victims of modern slavery have a safe space to live, receive financial and practical assistance, and are referred to partner agencies as needed.
Job Title: Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate
Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours, Monday-Friday)
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £24,315.30 - £26,917.29

We are seeking a highly skilled Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate with excellent communication skills, compassion, and an understanding of the impact of abuse and exploitation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults who have experienced trauma and abuse. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and developing leadership skills.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality frontline services to both female and male victims of modern slavery and their children within the West Midlands. Responsibilities include risk assessment, needs assessment, journey planning, outcomes and case review, supporting clients through their recovery and reflection periods. We welcome self-driven, conscientious, hardworking individuals with ambition.
