Modern Foreign languages Teacher Dartford

Are you an ambitious, motivated, and excellent Teacher of Modern Foreign Language (MFL)- French or Spanish looking for a career-defining opportunity? We are seeking a passionate MFL Teacher to join a mixed school whose approach to school improvement is based on a combination of CPD, capacity building and collaboration, with a relentless focus on teaching and pupil progress, in order to effect rapid and sustained improvements in outcomes for young people.

Multiple opportunities for a skilled MFL Teacher are available at a well-regarded secondary school in Kent with a start date of September 2025. Hays Education, a leading provider with exclusive partnerships with secondary schools in North Kent, Bromley and Bexley, is assisting several schools in enhancing their MFL department. We are actively seeking experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) interested in embarking on a rewarding new journey with the potential for growth and exciting challenges.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. To plan, develop and deliver high-quality lessons using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning.
  2. To monitor student progress, keeping student records that include assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals in line with Academy policy, to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
  3. Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to Every Child Matters agenda and Area Child Protection Procedures.
  4. Ensure continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all teaching.
  5. Set homework regularly, in accordance with the Academy homework policy, to consolidate and extend learning and encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
  6. Track student progress, monitor achievement against targets set, and take appropriate action on student outcomes.
  7. Be a role model to students through personal presentation and professional conduct.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in MFL or any other related field.
  2. Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.
  3. Proven experience of teaching MFL at the secondary or higher education level.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
