Job Title: Modern Foreign Language Teacher
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Part-time, Permanent

Are you a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in the Modern Foreign Languages department?

GSL Education are delighted to offer roles for an exceptional MFL Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Basingstoke.

If you are a Qualified Teacher (QTS/ECT), an internationally-trained teacher, or an experienced Teaching Assistant aiming to shift into teaching, we encourage you to apply.

As the MFL Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in Modern Foreign Languages. Your teaching will encourage students to develop a love for languages, improve their communication skills, and gain cultural awareness. You will be working within a supportive and dynamic department, helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging and interactive MFL lessons across different key stages.
• Encouraging students to develop fluency and confidence in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
• Differentiating lessons to support students with SEN and EAL needs.
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share innovative teaching methods.
• Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, language clubs, and cultural events.

Requirements:

• Must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
• Proficiency in at least one modern foreign language (such as French, Spanish, or German).
• Proven experience teaching MFL at the secondary level, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
• The ability to inspire and challenge students through a creative and forward-thinking approach.
• Experienced Teaching Assistants looking to progress into teaching will also be considered.
• A strong passion for languages and a commitment to delivering engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
