Job summary

Aberdeen City Council’s Children’s Social Work Service is offering a Modern Apprentice position based at Quarry Centre, Cummings Park Crescent, Aberdeen. The role focuses on delivering high-quality business support and administration while supporting teams working with kinship and foster carers, adopters, and the Family Time Hub.

You will gain a recognised qualification and contribute to a busy council service, with flexible working options and a commitment to equality and inclusion.

PVG Membership

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership.

This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above.

(Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above (currently 16.50 per hour))

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a young person to join Aberdeen City Council, Children’s Social Work Service as a Modern Apprentice. The post will initially be based at Quarry Centre, Cummings Park Crescent, Aberdeen, predominantly providing support to the teams supporting kinship and foster carers and adopters, as well as the Family Time Hub, whilst also gaining a qualification.
