Candidates must be referred by a Glasgow Guarantee approved Employability Provider and assessed by them as being job ready.
As an apprentice Plumber, you will gain valuable on-the-job experience whilst working alongside a qualified tradesperson. You will also attend City Building's Training College on a block release basis to complete SVQ units such as Install and Test Domestic Plumbing and Heating Systems, Service and Maintain Domestic Plumbing and Heating Systems, Commission and Decommission Plumbing and Heating Systems. All of these units provide you with a pathway into the completion of the Gas Training element of your Modern Apprenticeship. You will also learn about Low Carbon Emission Technology such as Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps and Photo Voltaic Systems.
An apprenticeship with City Building (Glasgow) LLP gives you the best of both worlds in that you attend college on a block release programme to learn your trade as well as gaining on-site practical experience on live City Building (Glasgow) LLP projects.
