Job summary

MPI Limited in Braunton, Devon, is seeking MOD Vehicle Technicians for a long-term contract. The role covers mandated vehicle inspections, ADR inspections, and delivery of training to Equipment Support personnel, with 37 hours per week.

You will maintain JAMES MIS and perform servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs in line with regulations, safeguard tools, and adhere to the Engineering Management System. A valid UK driving licence and DVSA/Vehicles Inspector experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Engineering.
• DVSA Vehicle Inspector qualification.
• ADR Inspector experience preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience as a vehicle mechanic in a workshop environment.
• Experience inspecting ADR and vehicle compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mandated vehicle inspections.
• Conduct ADR inspections.
• Deliver vehicle inspection training to Equipment Support personnel.
• Maintain JAMES MIS (Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solutions Management Information Systems).
• Conduct servicing, maintenance, mechanical, structural and electrical repairs on equipment and vehicles in accordance with current regulations.
• Safeguard all tools issued including all Special Tools and Test equipment; operate machinery and power tools.
• Adhere to the Engineering Management System.
