  • Load and unload stores/freight in line with legislation.

Job description

Storekeeper – Ministry of Defence (MOD) | Lympstone, Devon Location: Lympstone, Devon (Full-time, on-site)

Pay Rate: £12.28/hour PAYE | £16.67/hour Umbrella
IR35 Status: In Scope
Clearance Required: BPSS (Basic)
We are currently recruiting 2 Storekeepers to support logistics operations at the Ministry of Defence site in Lympstone. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with logistics, warehousing, or military stores experience to contribute to a fast-paced and mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily movement, issue, and receipt of equipment and materials
  • Prepare weapons and ancillary equipment for issue in line with training schedules (TAFMIS)
  • Complete Dangerous Goods paperwork as required
  • Load and unload stores/freight in line with legislation – including Radioactive materials
  • Operate Forklift Trucks and manual handling equipment
  • Update and maintain records on MJDI (MOD’s Supply Chain Software)
  • Maintain equipment serviceability, cleanliness, and stock control
  • Support clothing store, field store, armoury, and R&D areas as required
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Logistics Officer or Line Manager
Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Logistics or Stores environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Confident using Office 365 tools
  • Qualified Forklift Driverhighly desirable
  • Experience with store accounting systemsdesirable
Training Provided (as required):
  • All Arms Dangerous Goods Consignor (AADGC) – Air & Surface
  • Workplace Supervisor (Radioactive Materials)
