Job description

Job Title: Administrative Officer

Location: Abingdon
Contract Length: Initial contract until August 2025

Our government client based in Abingdon is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sorting and distributing mail
  2. Photocopying, filing, posting or proof-reading data
  3. Answering telephone calls and relaying messages
  4. Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
  5. Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
  6. Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
  7. Acting as an administrative liaison with internal and/or external sources
  8. Preparing routine correspondence

Working pattern: 37 hours, Monday to Friday

Requirements:

  1. Two GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent
  2. NVQ Business Administration level 1 (or suitable administrative experience)
  3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  4. Good communication skills, both oral and written
