Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a Direct Payment Worker to support a male client with mobility and communication needs living near Hedon. The role requires patience, reliability, and the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will assist with movement, transfers and daily activities, accompany the client to social events and appointments, and manage transport.

Qualifications

• Be motivated, proactive and able to work on own initiative.
• Be patient, caring and understanding.
• Have experience in moving and handling.
• Be a car driver with business insurance and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Flexible to accommodate hours as needed.

• Support movement with aid in the home.
