Job summary

Stevenage Borough Council in Stevenage is seeking a Window Cleaner / Mobile Caretaker to maintain glass and external surfaces using deionised water and a pole system. The role emphasizes teamwork and safety in estates and communal areas.

You will liaise with tenants and management, perform health and safety checks, and cover weekend rota shifts. The post offers a salary of £26,427 to £27,274 per year, pro rata for hours worked, with a 37-hour week and permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with contractors and tenants/residents on site to achieve agreed works within agreed timeframes.
• Ability to carry out glass cleaning duties and health and safety inspections.
• Liaise between tenants, leaseholders and management and act as the council’s on-site representative.

Responsibilities

• Clean glass, panels, fascias and soffits using deionised water and a pole/reach system.
• Assist caretaking team and work as part of a team to keep estates and communal areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Work weekends on a rota basis and liaise with tenants and management on site.
