Job summary

Alaska Black is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to service and maintain VRF/VRV systems across the North West. The role focuses on specialist air conditioning work, with no general facilities maintenance required.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, and offers a competitive salary and company van. Applicants should be apprentice-trained, hold F-Gas Category 1, and have strong fault-finding skills in HVAC&R systems.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained and fully qualified air conditioning engineer.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
• Strong experience in fault finding and maintenance of VRF/VRV systems.
• Solid understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a mobile service and maintenance engineer across the North West region.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of VRF/VRV systems.
• Avoid general facilities maintenance such as plumbing, building fabric repairs or basic electrical work.
