RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll operate on pre-booked work with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics, delivering quality repairs at customers' driveways and workplaces.
The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, 40-hour weeks, and Saturday rotation, plus overtime and benefits as part of a supportive national team.

You’ll be part of the Trowbridge cluster, covering areas like Bath, Frome, Radstock, Shepton Mallet. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments - no reactive callouts, just organised, pre‑booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.
The RAC is known for roadside rescue - but this isn’t that.
Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a newer, fast-growingpart of the RAC, built to deliver planned, structured repair and servicingdirectly to members - from their driveway to their workplace car park.
There are no emergency callouts, no unpredictable shift patterns and noroadside recoveries. Instead, you’ll work through a scheduled list ofjobs, with the time, tools and support you need to do quality work.

From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuelcard, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics. You’ll use your technical skill and problem‑solving ability to get people moving again; safely,quickly and confidently.
