The role of a Service Maintenance and Repair Technician is multifaceted and impactful. Due to a successful year, we are expanding our team. You will be the friendly face providing first-class service and repair work at customers’ workplaces or homes.

As part of our mobile mechanic team, you will attend appointments to complete service inspections, breakdowns, provide on-the-spot repairs, and ensure smooth operations. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will help you excel in your role. What will I be doing?

You’ll be:

  • A communicator: Master diagnostics and delight customers by sharing knowledge clearly, ensuring they feel safe and cared for.
  • A self-starter: Thrive working independently or within a team, driving to various locations in all weather conditions. No two days are the same, with appointment-based work and breakdowns.
  • A fixer/problem solver: Use your technical skills to solve a variety of issues, whether fixing vehicles roadside or attending appointments, helping customers get back on their way.
  • Be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation—ready for anything, anytime, anywhere, in any weather. Be their hero, instilling confidence and keeping their day moving.
What do I need?

You’ll need:

  • NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience.
  • A full Category B driving licence with 6 points or less.
  • Flexibility to work hours that may include evenings.
