Our RAC Mobile Mechanics bring their technical expertise directly to customers' doors, performing car services, repairs, and diagnostics at customers' homes or workplaces. We have a fantastic opportunity for skilled, field-based vehicle technicians to join our rapidly growing team. We provide the van, tools, and bookings; you bring your personality, customer service skills, and experience. You'll have the full support of a network of other mobile mechanics, roadside technicians, in-house experts, and RAC professionals. Plus, ongoing training and career progression opportunities.

What you'll get with the RAC
  • Market-leading base salary of £38,625, with potential earnings up to £48,000 including bonuses and overtime
  • Full-time hours with overtime paid at premium rates
  • Work pattern of 40 hours weekly, Monday to Saturday, between 8am - 8pm

  • You are friendly and personable, interacting with customers at every appointment, answering questions, giving advice, and representing the RAC.
  • You enjoy variety, performing services, diagnostics, repairs, and checks on customers' driveways. You also handle stock, reporting, and customer communication.
  • You can think on your feet, making the best decisions for customers and dealing with a variety of issues daily.
Requirements:
  • A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of practical experience as a vehicle technician in the motor trade, working with various light vehicles
  • A full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points
