Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain, and repair vehicles at customer locations across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. The role requires diagnosing issues including EVs, performing routine maintenance, and guiding customers on repairs.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with overtime opportunities and a strong benefits package. A valid UK driving licence and mechanics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles in workshop or mobile role.
• Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer locations (driveway, car park, etc).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments through card transactions.
• Keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
