Job description

Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: Dunfermline

Salary: £18.58 per hour (£38,652 per year) with potential for career progression to increase your base salary. Overtime after 40 hours is paid at £27.87 per hour. Working 45 hours per week, your annual salary could reach approximately £45,800.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (day off during the week). Shifts are between 8am and 5pm, extending to 8pm in summer.

Role responsibilities:

  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose issues, and attempt repairs to get vehicles back on the road or transfer them to the workshop
  • Identify problems and advise customers on vehicle issues
  • Perform vehicle servicing and general maintenance, including electrical and diagnostic work
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as the face of the business

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent); Level 2 considered if qualifications can be demonstrated
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • Full UK driving license with no more than 9 points or bans
  • Technical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
