As a Volkswagen Group Dedicated Mechanic for the AA you are the key to keeping all brands including VW Passenger, Commercial, Seat, Skoda, Audi, and more on the road. You have the variety of work by working on a range of vehicles daily, whilst delivering five star customer satisfaction ratings. Most of our VW Technicians earn £44,000 on average , with the best exceeding £50,000 OTE .

This includes a base salary of £37,152 and a location allowance of up to £4,325.28 , depending on your postcode.

This is the job

You’ll be:

• A communicator: You ensure that your customer is completely taken care of. You are the master of diagnostics and you will be the person taking the time to competently and effectively explain your fix to your customer; always providing the best service
• A self-starter: You are responsible for your own workload, by being there for your customer from beginning to end, as well as filling out your paperwork concisely, you make your own day worthwhile
• A fixer/problem solver: You will revel in utilising your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues. Whether that’s fixing a warranty related issue or a roadside breakdown, you are the solution bringer and enable your customer to get on with their day

What will I be doing?

You’ll be the superhero fixing a brand vehicle breakdown by the side of the road or undertaking warranty repairs working on an appointment basis. You take the time delighting your customer, helping them get back to their journey. In return, we’ll go the extra mile for you, with a two-week AA induction, a two-week VW induction, plus ongoing online or onsite training including EV and HV training.

What do I need?

You’ll need:

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Some knowledge of working on one or multiple VWG brands or vehicles
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• To be happy working s hifts, which could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
