Overview

Mobile Vehicle Technician – Location: Ipswich. Salary: £38,625 basic per annum, OTE £50,000 with overtime at 1.5x; a guaranteed overtime option can increase base salary to £44,385. Hours: 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays. Ref – 28759.

As a Mobile Mechanic within the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll use your expertise to support customers directly—whether at their home, workplace, or elsewhere. You’ll provide first-class service without the restrictions of a traditional workshop.

Role responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns to diagnose issues and work on vehicles to get them back on the road or return them to the workshop.
• Identify problems and advise customers on vehicle issues.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance, including electrical work and diagnostics.
• Provide exceptional customer service as the face of the business.

Requirements

• Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred; Level 2 considered. Equivalent qualifications (City and Guilds, IMI, NVQ) accepted. Must show qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a vehicle workshop or mobile technician role.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points or bans.
• Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
