Job summary

The AA is recruiting a Mobile Mechanic in Manchester to service, diagnose and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces, supported by AA tools and training.

You will work 40 hours over five days, with shifts 8am–8pm and occasional Saturdays, delivering high workmanship and customer service on the road.

Level 2 or Level 3 roles offer guaranteed earnings and potential incentives up to £6,000 in a five‑day week.

Qualifications

• For Level 2: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• For Level 3: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• A full UK driving licence (Category B) with up to six points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers' homes or workplaces.
• Attend booked appointments and breakdowns within the local area.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs.
• Use technical knowledge to identify problems and find solutions.
• Explain diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers to build confidence.
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently across multiple locations.
• Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for members.
• Deliver high workmanship and customer service standards expected by the AA.
