Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Mechanic in Bristol to service, diagnose and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. You’ll work 40 hours over five days, with shifts between 8am and 8pm, and typically 1 in 2 Saturdays.

Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair required, plus a full UK driving licence. You’ll receive guaranteed earnings of £40,000–£42,000, an annual incentive of up to £2,000, and a £1,000 first-year sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (Level 2)
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (Level 3)
• Full UK Category B driving licence with up to six points

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces
• Diagnose faults where appropriate
• Use technical knowledge to identify problems and find solutions
• Explain repairs and technical information clearly to customers
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently
• Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service
