Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points or bans.
  • Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Job Title: Mobile Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Taunton

Salary: £38,625 + Bonus (OTE £48,000) + Company Van

Hours: Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. 40-hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to join our client’s main site in Taunton. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicle makes and models, utilizing diagnostic tools and software to resolve complex issues. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques
Requirements
  • Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred; Level 2 considered with relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds, IMI, or NVQ (must provide proof)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points or bans
  • Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
