Job summary

Halfords Careers is seeking a Mobile Technician to bring services directly to customers’ driveways. You will collect a fully equipped van, follow smart routing, and perform repairs and services on-site, from tyre fitting to battery and air-con work.

The role includes a base salary of £29,996–£31,025 plus on-target earnings up to £33,425 and an average annual bonus of £2,400; a 44-hour week and weekend shifts are required. Full training provided and opportunities for progression.

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £33,425

• Comprising a base salary of £29,996 - £31,025


• 44 hour week


• Shift pattern between Monday - Sunday 8:00am - 20:00pm with every other weekend included

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Dash-cam fitting


• Battery replacement


• Air-con services


• Windscreen repairs


• Oil & filter changes


• Tow-bar fitting

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable


• Strong customer service skills & experience


• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative


• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring


• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
