Qualifications

  • Experience with AC electrics and telemetry systems is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to write reports are essential.

Job description

As our Mobile Telemetry Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our telemetry systems are running seamlessly, delivering top-tier service to our customers and internal teams alike. Your expertise will keep Speedy's assets operating at their best while supporting innovation across the business.

What You'll Do:
  1. Install, maintain, and manage telemetry systems across Speedy's fleet of equipment.
  2. Provide high-quality service and support within the Northern territories.
  3. Act as the link between engineering teams and all business functions that utilize telemetry systems.
  4. Conduct ongoing quality control and performance checks on telemetry devices.
  5. Create and maintain a comprehensive Telemetry Installation Guide.
  6. Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for engineers, empowering them to master telemetry technology.
  7. Collaborate across departments to ensure optimal system availability and functionality.
  8. Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures to streamline processes.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Full driving licence.
  2. Previous experience working with single and three-phase AC electrics, ideally gained within the hire industry or similar engineering field (Preferred).
  3. 12vdc and 24vdc electrics fault finding and ability to read wiring diagrams.
  4. An understanding of basic engine communication systems (CAN bus and MOD bus).
  5. Proficient computer skills, use of telemetry platforms.
  6. Ability to write technical reports.
  7. Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  8. Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required.
  9. Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
