Job objectives and responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of the contract through effective training and continuous development of colleagues, supporting the client's security and safety strategy.
- Support the Operations Manager in managing performance, ensuring all security officers are trained to the highest standard in line with SLAs & KPIs.
- Deputise during the Operations Manager's unplanned absences until a buddy Operations Manager can take over.
- Ensure operational performance of the allocated business meets overall targets, maintaining compliance with SLAs & KPIs.
- Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing industry-leading security services.
- Support the customer by ensuring accurate and timely reporting of crime and related activities through effective officer training.
Main duties
- Deliver results that meet or exceed budget and service requirements, with full responsibility and accountability.
- Work within retail stores, delivering Mitie inductions and comprehensive training for new security officers.
- Deliver all corporate training to officers in your responsibility area.
- Complete officer evaluations in line with contractual KPIs.
- Support officers through training and coaching, including uniform standards and performance evaluations.
- Deliver focus topics and ad hoc training as identified by the business.
- Provide ongoing training, support, and guidance to officers, including SIA CCTV training for podium store security officers.
- Implement performance management and development plans for officers as needed.
- Identify and rectify behaviors or situations that endanger health & safety.
- Assist with investigations into customer complaints, QHSE incidents, and other issues.
- Support the maintenance and update of Assignment Instructions & Risk Assessments.
- Engage with store management to build strong client relationships.
- Ensure adherence to uniform standards and maintain open communication channels.
