A leading security services company in the UK is seeking a dedicated professional to lead training and development efforts for security officers. The role involves delivering comprehensive training, supporting an Operations Manager, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and relevant licenses. Job objectives and responsibilities
• Contribute to the success of the contract through effective training and continuous development of colleagues, supporting the client's security and safety strategy.
• Support the Operations Manager in managing performance, ensuring all security officers are trained to the highest standards in line with SLAs & KPIs.
• Deputise during times of unplanned absence of the Operations Manager until a buddy Operations Manager can take over.
• Responsible for the operational performance of the allocated business, ensuring compliance with SLA's & KPIs.
• Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing industry-leading security services.
• Support the customer by ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of crime and related activities through effective training of officers.
Main duties
To deliver results that meet or exceed budget and service delivery requirements, including but not limited to:
• Delivering Mitie inductions and comprehensive training for new security officers within retail stores, from induction to probation sign-off.
• Delivering all corporate training to the required standards for officers in your area.
• Completing officer evaluations in line with contractual KPIs.
• Supporting officers through training and coaching to uphold standards.
• Delivering focus topics and ad hoc training as identified by the business.
• Providing ongoing training, support, and guidance to officers.
• Supporting the delivery of SIA CCTV training to ensure officers are qualified.
• Implementing performance management, PIP, and development plans for officers.
• Ensuring health & safety and wellbeing are prioritized, and issues are addressed promptly.
• Assisting with investigations related to customer complaints, QHSE incidents, and other investigations.
• Supporting the maintenance and updating of Assignment Instructions & Risk Assessments.
• Engaging with store management to build strong relationships with the client.
• Ensuring uniform standards are maintained.
• Maintaining open communication, recognizing achievements, and contributing to talent mapping.
