Job description

My Hertfordshire-based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They operate across various sites, including offices, residential, commercial communal areas, clinical spaces, retail, theatres, museums, and galleries.

I am recruiting for a full-time Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager (40 hours, flexible based on site requirements). The role combines hands-on deep cleaning support with operational management, involving site visits primarily in London, with travel across the UK and potential overnight stays for specialist tasks. The role also includes managing a number of sites with support from the Head of Operations.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in deep cleaning (carpets, hard floors, windows, cleaning machines) and some supervisory or managerial experience within the cleaning industry. Residence within Central or South London/Kent (near M25) is preferred. The role requires adaptability, flexibility to work out of hours and office hours, and a desire to progress within a smaller organization, with potential for future managerial advancement.

Supervisor/Manager duties
  1. Provide operational management support across client sites.
  2. Complete site audits via the Cleanlink system, resolving issues promptly.
  3. Manage staff timesheets and holidays using the Time Management System.
  4. Conduct out-of-hours spot checks.
  5. Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and promote safe working practices.
  6. Recruit new staff using the Cleanlink system.
  7. Train and support cleaning operatives.
  8. Handle disciplinary procedures as needed.
  9. Organize and delegate tasks to mobile support staff and site operatives.
  10. Respond to client complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  11. Manage stock, equipment, and cleaning supplies through the company app.
  12. Induct and train new staff and mobilize new sites.
Mobile Support Cleaner duties
  1. Provide operational support across sites.
  2. Cover staff holiday/sickness as requested.
  3. Perform deep cleaning tasks (carpets, hard floors, ovens, windows, jet washing).
  4. Record tasks using the Cleanlink system.
  5. Report faulty equipment, damage, vandalism, or hazards.
  6. Maintain company vehicle and report issues.
  7. Follow health & safety procedures and promote safety.
  8. Liaise with Mobile Area Managers and the Head of Operations to meet KPIs.

Salary: £31,595.20 per annum (£15.19/hour), with potential overtime, annual performance bonus, company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and iPad provided.
