Job description

My Hertfordshire-based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They operate across various sites, including offices, residential, commercial, clinical, retail, theatre, museum, and gallery spaces.

I am recruiting a full-time Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager (40 hours, flexible based on site needs). The role combines operational management and hands-on mobile support, with a weekly split: three days managing sites with support from the Head of Operations, and two days providing deep cleaning support. The sites are in the Midlands/East Anglia region, with occasional overnight stays for specialist tasks.

Ideal candidates will have extensive deep cleaning experience (carpets, hard floors, windows, cleaning machines) and some supervisory or management experience in the cleaning industry. Residence within the operating area, adaptability, and flexibility to work out of hours are essential. This position offers progression opportunities within a smaller operation, potentially leading to a full-time managerial role.

  • Complete site audits and resolve issues promptly
  • Manage staff timesheets and holidays
  • Conduct out-of-hours spot checks
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety procedures and promote safe working practices
  • Recruit, train, and support cleaning staff
  • Implement discipline procedures as needed
  • Organize and delegate tasks to staff and operatives
  • Respond to client complaints and resolve issues
  • Manage stock and supplies via company app
  • Induct and train new staff and mobilize new sites
Mobile Support Cleaner duties
  • Provide operational support across sites
  • Cover staff absences and perform deep cleaning tasks (carpets, floors, ovens, windows, jet washing)
  • Record tasks performed using the Cleanlink system
  • Report equipment issues or hazards
  • Maintain company vehicle and report damages
  • Follow health & safety procedures
  • Liaise with managers to meet KPIs
Candidate requirements
  • High energy, positive attitude
  • Established experience in the cleaning industry
  • Enjoy training, administration, and team leadership
  • Excellent understanding of cleaning procedures
  • Hardworking, leading by example
  • Organized with good time management
  • Reliable, responsible, flexible
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail, work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and COSHH
  • Customer liaison skills and commitment to service
  • Good sense of humour
  • Excellent communication skills
  • UK driving license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Cleanlink, and Time DNA systems (training available)

Salary: £31,595.20 per annum (£15.19/hour), with potential overtime and annual performance bonus. A company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and iPad are provided.
