Job description

My Hertfordshire-based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They operate across various sites, including offices, residential, commercial communal areas, clinical spaces, retail outlets, theatres, museums, and galleries.

I am recruiting a full-time Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager (40 hours, flexible based on site needs). The role combines operational management with hands-on mobile support. The week will be split between supervising/managing sites (three days) with support from the Head of Operations, and providing deep cleaning support (two days). The sites are in the Midlands/East Anglia region, with occasional overnight stays for specialist tasks.

Ideal candidates will have extensive deep cleaning experience (carpets, hard floors, windows, cleaning machines) and some supervisory or management background within the cleaning industry. Applicants should reside within the operating area, be adaptable, and able to work out of hours as required. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking progression within a smaller company, with potential future advancement to a full-time managerial role.

Supervisor/Manager duties
  1. Provide operational management support across client sites
  2. Complete site audits via the Cleanlink system and resolve issues promptly
  3. Manage staff timesheets and holidays using the Time Management System
  4. Carry out out-of-hours spot checks
  5. Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and promote safe working practices
  6. Recruit and train new cleaning staff
  7. Implement discipline procedures as needed
  8. Organize and delegate tasks to support staff and operatives
  9. Respond to client complaints and resolve issues
  10. Manage stock and supplies through the company app
  11. Induct and mobilize new staff and sites
Mobile Support Cleaner duties
  1. Support client sites operationally
  2. Cover staff absences and perform deep cleaning tasks (carpets, floors, ovens, windows, jet washing)
  3. Record tasks using the Cleanlink system
  4. Report equipment issues or hazards
  5. Maintain company vehicle and report damages
  6. Follow health & safety procedures and promote safety
  7. Liaise with managers to meet KPIs

Salary: £31,595.20 per annum (£15.19/hour), with potential overtime and annual performance bonus. Company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and iPad are provided.
