Job description

My Hertfordshire-based client is a privately owned SME with over twenty years of experience in providing commercial cleaning and soft FM services. They operate across various sites, including offices, residential, commercial communal areas, clinical spaces, retail spaces, theatres, museums, and galleries.

Role: Mobile Support Supervisor/Manager

This is a full-time position (40 hours, flexible based on site requirements) combining operational management and hands-on mobile support. The successful candidate will oversee multiple sites with support from the Head of Operations, dividing their week between supervisory duties (three days) and deep cleaning support (two days). The sites are located in the Midlands/East Anglia region, with potential overnight stays for specialist tasks.

Candidate Profile

We seek someone with extensive deep cleaning experience (carpets, hard floors, windows, cleaning machines) and supervisory or management experience in the cleaning industry. Candidates should reside within the operating area, be adaptable, and able to work out of hours when needed. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking progression within a smaller organization, with potential for future managerial advancement.

Supervisor/Manager Duties
  1. Provide operational management support across client sites.
  2. Complete site audits via the Cleanlink system and resolve issues promptly.
  3. Manage staff timesheets and holidays using the Time Management System.
  4. Conduct out-of-hours spot checks.
  5. Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and promote safe practices.
  6. Recruit, train, and support cleaning staff.
  7. Implement discipline procedures as needed.
  8. Organize, schedule, and delegate tasks to support staff and operatives.
  9. Respond to client complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  10. Manage stock, equipment, and cleaning materials through the company app.
  11. Induct and train new staff and mobilize new sites.
Mobile Support Cleaner Duties
  1. Provide operational support across sites.
  2. Cover staff holidays and sickness as requested.
  3. Perform deep cleaning tasks (carpets, hard floors, ovens, windows, jet washing).
  4. Record task completion using the Cleanlink system.
  5. Report equipment faults, damage, or hazards.
  6. Maintain the company vehicle and report issues.
  7. Follow health & safety procedures and promote safe practices.
  8. Liaise with managers to meet KPIs.
Candidate Requirements

Compensation

Salary: £31,595.20 per annum (£15.19/hour), with potential overtime and annual performance bonus. Company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and iPad are provided.
