Job description

Working closely with the Valet Services Manager and overseeing nine depot Cleaning teams, the Supervisor actively manages teams of Cleaners to ensure that all services are delivered safely, in line with operating procedures, policies, and best practices; maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and reporting any potential issues impacting service delivery or operation.

The Supervisor will oversee workforce allocation, ensuring effective service delivery including:

  1. Reporting vacancies and supporting the recruitment & selection of new staff
  2. Induction and management of probation periods for new employees, ensuring safe working methods, competence, and skills to undertake the tasks required
  3. Identifying training needs and referring to Valet Services Manager
  4. Accurate recording of overtime, absence, and leave requests
  5. Carrying out return to work interviews, ensuring any absence is recorded correctly

The Supervisor will regularly visit all allocated depots, ensuring regular communication with Cleaners (especially lone workers) and ensuring all sites have adequate materials and consumables.

The post holder will also:

  1. Seek innovation to increase productivity and drive efficiencies
  2. Build good relationships with the Client
  3. Promote Valet Services to actively grow the business
About you

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  1. Some Supervisory or team management experience
  2. A working knowledge of Health & Safety in practice
  3. Knowledge of coaching and mentoring staff to maintain standards and improve performance

The role offers flexibility to work from your home base or one of our offices or depots. It involves weekly visits to depots across the county, responding to business needs. A Corserv Vehicle will be provided for business use.

This position is for 37 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, with flexibility to work late afternoons, evenings, and occasional late-night finishes (up to 1:30 am).

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (considering part-time/job share options) + overtime opportunities

Contract Type: Permanent, Hybrid working, working Tuesday to Saturday, with travel across Cornwall
