Job summary

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Solar Electrician for a mobile field role across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Warwickshire and Norfolk. The role covers installation, testing, commissioning of domestic Solar PV systems with training provided.

You will work with a strong team, aiming for high-quality installations in line with BS7671 and MCS standards, supported by a company van, fuel card and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation is essential.
• 18th Edition is essential.
• Solar PV qualification is essential.
• 2391 Test & Inspection is essential.
• Experience installing or maintaining Solar PV systems.
• Strong understanding of DC/AC wiring, inverters and isolators.
• Ability to work independently on domestic installations.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Based within one of the listed regions.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission domestic Solar PV systems.
• Perform DC string wiring, AC connections and inverter setup.
• Work with roofers, surveyors and designers for safe installations.
• Provide accurate reporting and clear communication on each project.
