Job summary

Teton is seeking a talented and driven Software Engineer to join our Mobile team, building tools that care workers rely on during every shift. Our app runs 24/7 delivering real-time alerts and monitoring residents, across markets and languages.

You will work across the full stack from React Native UI to backend infra, in an environment where reliability directly impacts patient safety. This role focuses on feature development, reliability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong TypeScript skills for all layers.
• Production experience with React Native and Expo.
• Experience across the stack: databases, queues, or cloud infra.
• Experience with native iOS or Android (Kotlin/Swift) is a plus.
• Familiar with real-time systems and push notifications.
• AWS or equivalent cloud platform experience.
• Previous startup experience and ownership of outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Own features end-to-end from design discussions through implementation to production rollout across multiple markets and languages.
• Reliability & Debugging: Keep our real-time alert pipeline rock-solid; debug push notification delivery on Android and iOS; troubleshoot issues in care environments with flaky Wi-Fi.
• Backend, Infrastructure & Systems: Work across backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure, and internal platforms to support the systems our app depends on.
• Testing & Validation: Build automated test coverage (e.g. Maestro for E2E) across devices and OS versions; ensure alerts arrive when required.
• Developer Experience: Improve shared components, internal tooling, and build pipelines to speed up shipping.
