Job Description:

Igloo has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Smart Repair Technician to work with our client in Southport. The successful candidates will be working on behalf of an established business that boasts the largest network of accredited Smart Repair Technicians in the country.

The Role:

As a Smart Repair Technician, you will carry out repairs on a mobile basis, ensuring a high-quality service for the customer every time. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high standards of customer service
  • Explaining the repair process to customers before starting
  • Following health and safety measures
  • Taking card payments
  • Providing aftercare and insurance information
  • Performing alloy wheel refurbishment
  • Diamond cut and shadow chrome repairs
  • Bumper corner repairs
  • Wing mirror repairs
  • Painted trim repairs
  • Panel repairs (no more than two panels on one side)
  • Touching up chips on the bonnet
  • Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a smart repair role
  • Understanding of all smart repair processes
  • Hardworking and reliable
  • Ability to produce high-quality finishes first time
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Category B driving license with no more than 6 points
  • ATA or IMI accreditation is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
