Job summary

Activate Accident Repair is recruiting a Mobile SMART Repair Technician in Glasgow. You will travel to customer sites in a company van, carrying out SMART repairs and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out SMART repairs to bumper scuffs, scratches, minor dents and paint damage, matching the factory finish.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every visit and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Update customers and reception team, and keep to schedule.
• Ensure paperwork is complete, including photos and customer sign-off.
• Look after the van and follow health and safety standards.

You’ll be travelling to customers’ homes and workplaces to carry out high-quality repairs in your own fully equipped company van. No two days are the same, and every job is a chance to make a customer’s day.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out SMART repairs to bumper scuffs, scratches, minor dents and paint damage, matching the original factory finish
• Delivering excellent customer service on every visit, explaining the repair clearly and leaving every customer happy
• Keeping customers and our reception team updated, including letting them know straight away if you’re running late
• Planning your day with our reception team so appointments run on time
• Making sure all job paperwork is correct and complete, including photos and customer sign-off
• Looking after your van and following our health and safety standards

What we’re looking for

• Full UK driving licence with the correct classification for the role (essential)
• Experience in SMART repair, or as a bodyshop painter
• Knowledge of paint mixing and colour matching
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Well organised and happy working on your own
• High attention to detail and pride in a quality finish
• Comfortable using a tablet or phone for digital job records
• IMI SMART repair or ATA accreditation would be a bonus, but isn’t essential
