Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a Mobile Smart Repair Technician to travel around the Edinburgh region, performing smart repairs on vehicle stock to a high standard. You will be fully mobile with access to a dedicated repair vehicle and operate with autonomy.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, proven spray painting or smart repair skills, and a meticulous eye for detail. Strong time management and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Smart repair or spray painting experience needed.
• Excellent eye for detail and high standard of workmanship.
• Able to multi-task and work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paintwork, including masking.
• Carry out minor damage repairs and polish to remove defects.
• Mix and apply paint with accuracy and consistency.
• Travel across Edinburgh region in company vehicles to service stock.

We’re currently recruiting for a motivated Mobile Smart Repair Technician to work across the Edinburgh region.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm

About The Role

As a Mobile Smart Repair technician, you’ll travel around various locations, carrying out smart repairs to our vehicle sales stock to an excellent standard. You’ll be fully mobile, with access to one of our fully equipped smart repair vehicles.

The right person for the job will be energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative, and excellent people skills. What’s more, you’ll have a great eye for detail and take pride in doing a meticulous job.

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking)
• Carrying out minor damage repairs
• Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintwork
• Mixing paint to apply to vehicles
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard

Essential Skills

• A full UK driving licence
• Smart repair/Spray painting experience
• An excellent eye for detail
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to work on your own initiative
