Mobile Plant Fitter Shredding Equipment (Recycling & Forestry)

NEOS Engineering is proud to be working on behalf of a leading client in the recycling and forestry machinery sector to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter. This field-based role will focus on the service, maintenance, and repair of shredders and processing equipment used in waste and forestry applications across the South of England.

The ideal candidate will be based near Guildford and have hands-on experience with mobile plant, particularly shredders, crushers, or other heavy recycling machinery.

Role Overview:

• Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on mobile and static shredders used in waste and forestry recycling.

• Responding to on-site breakdowns and providing efficient fault-finding and repair.

• Performing planned preventative maintenance across customer sites.

• Ensuring work is carried out safely, professionally, and to manufacturer standards.

• Communicating effectively with customers and internal teams, maintaining accurate service records.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, or Service Technician working with shredders, crushers, chippers, or similar heavy machinery.

• Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.

• Background in recycling, forestry, biomass, or construction equipment preferred.

• Full UK driving licence required.

• Based in Southern England, ideally within easy reach of Guildford or surrounding areas.
