Qualifications

Mobile Service Technician – Castle Donington

Location: Castle Donington & Surrounding Areas

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (DOE) Door-to-Door Pay Overtime Van Benefits

Full-Time Permanent Monday–Friday

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Mobile Service Technician to join our team, covering Castle Donington and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing plant and powered access equipment at customer sites and depots — all while being paid door to door.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a mobile role with independence, variety, and direct customer interaction.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Service, repair and maintain plant and access equipment including diggers, dumpers, rollers, generators, telehandlers, and more
  • Attend emergency breakdowns and complete planned maintenance jobs
  • Diagnose faults using a mix of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic knowledge
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and ensure equipment is fit for hire
  • Liaise with customers onsite to provide updates and technical support
  • Maintain accurate records via job sheets and service reports
  • Manage your service van stock and work to health and safety standards
What You’ll Need
  • Proven experience as a Mobile Service Engineer, Plant Fitter, Powered Access Technician or similar
  • Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrics, and fault diagnostics
  • Familiarity with equipment such as diggers, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, MEWPs, forklifts, compressors, or generators
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, IPAF, CSCS, LEEA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
