Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (40 hours/week)
A leading specialist in mechanical equipment servicing and calibration is seeking an experienced Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic field team operating across the Glasgow region. The Role
This mobile position involves providing on-site repair, servicing, and calibration for a wide range of customer-owned mechanical and hydraulic tools. Operating from a fully equipped service vehicle, the technician will work independently to deliver first-class support, while also identifying new business opportunities and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out service, repair, and calibration of hydraulic pumps, torque wrenches (manual, pneumatic, electric), hydraulic tensioners, and associated tooling
Travel within the assigned territory to perform scheduled maintenance and respond to customer requests
Act as a technical consultant and brand ambassador, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on mechanical and hydraulic equipment
Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety and quality standards
Engage with new and prospective clients to support business growth
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified in Mechanical Engineering to at least NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar field-based or workshop-based role
Self-motivated, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools
Confident working independently and managing a mobile workload
Full UK driving licence and access to a secure, covered space for overnight van parking
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Physically fit – capable of lifting or moving up to 35kg
