Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Mobile Service Layer Engineer to join a 24 month contract on a hybrid basis in London and Burgess Hill. The role is Inside IR35 with pay up to £50 per hour via umbrella and requires strong mobile backend design and cloud-enabled microservices.

You will work across Java 17, Swift and Kotlin to build the mobile application service layer (backend for front end) for a cross-platform travel app, in an Agile environment with CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience across designing, programming, testing, and applying back-end for mobile apps.
• Experience with Swift, Kotlin, and Java 17.
• Experience with Spring and build automation (Maven/Gradle).
• Experience with Sentry, ELK, Dynatrace.

Responsibilities

• Build the mobile application service layer (backend for front end) for a cross‑platform travel app.
• Work in an Agile environment leading engineering ceremonies.
• Contribute to cloud and CI/CD adoption for the mobile backend.

Mobile Service Layer Engineer

Location: Hybrid - working in London and Burgess Hill.

We are currently looking for a Mobile Service Layer Engineer who has a proven track recording working with Java 17, Swift and Kotlin. You will be building the mobile application service layer (backend for front end) for an upcoming iOS and Android travel mobile application.

You will need:

• To have a strong track record working as a software development experience in a working across designing, programming, testing, and application design for microservices or backend for front ends for mobile applications
• Need to have experience working with Swift, Kotlin, and Java 17
• Must have experience with Spring and build automation with Maven or Gradle
• Worked with Sentry, ELK, Dynatrace.
• Worked in an Agile environment leading an agile engineering team and ceremonies.
• Full understanding of cloud and CI/CD technologies
