Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join our client, a well-established engineering business based in Thetford, recognized for its specialist work in mechanical systems used within performance and public venues across the UK. Operating nationally, their service division offers planned preventative maintenance (PPM), troubleshooting, compliance inspections, and condition-based monitoring for a wide range of mechanical installations.

The Mobile Service Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet stringent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine mechanical maintenance and inspections
  2. Carry out servicing and compliance checks on lifting equipment
  3. Assist with LOLER inspections and mechanical PPM of theatre-related equipment (training provided)
  4. Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
  5. Deliver excellent on-site service while working as part of a collaborative and friendly team

A successful Mobile Service Engineer will ideally have experience working within public venues, along with a strong background in mechanical maintenance. Candidates should hold relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications and demonstrate good IT skills with strong attention to detail.

Additional desirable qualifications include City & Guilds 18th Edition, as well as LOLER, IPAF, and PASMA certifications, although training can be provided for the right candidate. Applicants must also be comfortable working at height and hold a full UK manual driving licence.
