Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking Mobile School Crossing Patrols to cover absences across the county. The role operates during term time with no fixed hours, typically 7:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–4:00pm. You will travel between locations and are paid mileage and travel time when called to duty.

Full training and a uniform are provided, and the role includes an enhanced DBS check and a pre-employment health assessment. A valid driving licence and roadside capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with suitable business insurance
• Good road sense and knowledge of the Highway Code
• Experience of working with children

Responsibilities

• School Crossing Patrols operate twice daily during term-time.
• As a Mobile Relief you may need to travel to various locations around the county on short notice to cover absences.
• No set hours; duty times usually fall between 7:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–4:00pm.
• Each duty lasts from 30 minutes to 1 hour and mileage or travel time is paid when you work.
• Post is subject to enhanced DBS check and pre-employment health assessment.
