Job summary

Service Care is seeking an experienced Mobile Roofer to join a busy property maintenance team on a permanent basis. The role covers Woking, Windsor and Horsham, supporting repairs across domestic and commercial properties including local authorities, schools and listed buildings.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or equivalent, 3+ years in building maintenance, a full UK driving licence and strong health and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent qualification.
• At least three years' experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to repair both flat and pitched roofs.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• Strong health and safety awareness, particularly when working at height.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roof defects, diagnose issues and recommend repair solutions.
• Repair and maintain flat, tiled and slated roofs.
• Carry out minor carpentry, leadwork, metal flashing, repointing and brickwork as needed.
• Undertake minor groundworks, including brickwork and paving.
• Support guttering repairs and other work-at-height activities.
• Respond to emergency repairs and maintain a safe, efficient service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and work flexibly outside normal hours when required.

Mobile Roofer Responsibilities

• Inspect roof defects, diagnose issues and recommend practical repair solutions.
• Repair and maintain flat, tiled and slated roofs.
• Complete minor associated carpentry, leadwork, metal flashing, repointing and brickwork.
• Undertake minor groundworks, including brickwork and paving.
• Support guttering repairs and other working-at-height activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency repairs and help maintain a safe, efficient service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and work flexibly outside normal hours when required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, customer service, health and safety and site compliance.

Mobile Roofer Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years’ experience within the building maintenance industry.
• Proven ability to repair and maintain both flat and pitched roofs.
• Good knowledge of roofing materials, methods and building maintenance practices.
• Ability to identify defects and deliver proportionate, effective repair solutions.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, particularly when working at height.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• A conscientious, reliable and flexible approach to mobile maintenance work.
