Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations around Brighton. You’ll cover various sites, deter theft, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies while delivering strong customer service.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and be able to work across shifts including evenings and weekends. A full UK driving licence and DBS clearance are required to operate across sites in the Brighton area.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance
• SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Retail security or customer-facing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents
• Conduct regular patrols across store floors and perimeters
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies quickly and effectively
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention
• Prepare clear incident reports in a timely manner
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries
• De-escalate confrontations calmly and safely
• Ensure health & safety and client procedures compliance
• Travel between sites as required to support operations
