Purpose of Role

Vinci Facilities, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions, is looking for a skilled and reliable Groundworks Operative to join our mobile team, covering sites from Newcastle to Birmingham, ideally based between Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent.

Job Description

In this hands-on role, you'll carry out essential repairs including manhole and pothole replacements, grip and drain repairs, and concrete work. Experience with tools such as floor saws, cement mixers, and hydraulic breakers is preferred, along with a strong background in grounds or civil maintenance.

Responsibilities

•Manhole cover and frame replacements
• Pothole patching and resurfacing
• Concrete surface and structural repairs
• Replacement of roadside grips
• Drainage repairs and maintenance
• General groundworks and civils support
• Ensuring all works comply with health, safety and environmental standards

Essential Qualifications/Skills

• Hands-on experience in Grounds Maintenance
• Proficient in using a floor saw
• Skilled in operating a cement mixer
• Experience with hydraulic breakers
• Ability to carry out minor civils repairs
• Strong awareness of site safety procedures
• Flexible and reliable team player
