Purpose of Role
We’re currently looking for a reliable and self-motivated PAT Tester to join our expanding compliance team.
Job Description
At Powertest, we’re proud to work with a wide range of public and private sector clients, delivering essential services that keep people and businesses safe, compliant, and operational. Our customers include the HM Prison Service, Cancer Research UK, Dixons Carphone, McDonald’s, Siemens, Zurich Insurance, and the Scottish Police Authority.
Working across a portfolio of commercial and public sector sites within an approximate 1 hour 45-minute radius of Croydon (with minimal travel into Central London), you’ll play a key role in maintaining electrical safety and compliance across multiple contracts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified PAT Tester who enjoys working independently, has great attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering a professional service.
Responsibilities
•Carry out in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT) in line with IET Code of Practice.
• Accurately record and label tested equipment.
• Produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
• Liaise with site contacts to access equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Identify and report any dangerous or non-compliant equipment found.
• Maintain and care for testing equipment and tools provided.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
• City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent PAT Testing qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in PAT testing within commercial or public sector environments.
• A full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance.
