Mobile Remedial Electrician (Commercial / Industrial Property Maintenance)

Salary: Up to £38k Basic + Overtime and Shift Allowance + Fully Expensed Company Van + Benefits

Hours: Various (premium rates paid for unsocial working)

Our client is one of the largest companies in the UK, providing specialist electrical testing services to occupied premises such as schools, hospitals, office blocks, retail units, and industrial units. Their job is to ensure all fixed wiring, switchgear, or control equipment meet regulations and are safe to use.

Following a visit by their Test & Inspection Engineers, Electricians are responsible for completing upgrades/repairs needed. The role offers variety, from replacing breakers to upgrading switches in large industrial units. Flexibility and quick thinking are essential.

The field electricians are vital, representing the face of the company.

This is a permanent position.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to support our Maintenance and Repairs team in Uxbridge and surrounding areas. Work is planned in advance and coordinated via our Operations Planning team at Head Office in West Yorkshire. You will work with a dedicated works coordinator, ensuring communication and coordination with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical remedial works in commercial and industrial environments.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with clients, explaining findings and providing technical advice.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain and improve skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience
• City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent in Inspection and Testing
• 18th Edition
• Knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and relevant standards
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid UK driving license (or equivalent)
