Job summary

Caterlink in Portsmouth is seeking a Relief Catering Assistant to cover site-based teams on a term-time only basis. The role is mobile and requires your own transport, with £12.71 per hour for 16 hours weekly across 38 weeks per year.

You will help prepare tasty foods, follow health and safety standards, keep areas clean, and provide friendly, efficient service while upholding Caterlink’s brand. DBS disclosure will be completed as part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Term-time only – 38 weeks per year.
• Mobile-based role – own transport required.
• Experience in food service or catering is advantageous.
• Committed to Caterlink health and safety standards.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks
• Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures
• Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state
• Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
• Representing Caterlink and maintaining a positive brand image
