Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to service our Essex area and surrounding locations. You’ll work in a hands-on, mobile capacity with a skilled team, carrying out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of refrigeration equipment to keep stores running smoothly.

You’ll bring CO2 experience, F-Gas certification, and strong read-of-drawings ability, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Certification in refrigerant handling (City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas) is essential.
• Experience with CO2 refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to service work.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems to industry standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and propose solutions for potential issues.
• Monitor system performance and optimise efficiency.
• Collaborate on preventative maintenance programmes.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly.
