Job summary

Tesco is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to cover Oxford, Abingdon and Banbury areas. You’ll maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to keep stores energy-efficient and compliant with safety standards.

Join a skilled maintenance team responsible for planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnosing faults, and improving system performance to ensure a seamless shopping experience for thousands of customers daily.

Qualifications

Full driving license.
Health & Safety awareness.
Communication & stakeholder management.
Office 365 knowledge.
Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical Engineering/Engineering.
Refrigeration and AC C&G 6187, 7189, 6090 or NVQ or equivalent.
Heating & Ventilation C&G 7188, 6288, 6188 or NVQ or Equivalent.
Plumbing & Heating C&G 4467, 3345, 6189, 6035 or NVQ or Equivalent.
Gas safety and related certifications (F-Gas, CCN1, etc.).

Responsibilities

Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, maximising productivity, and effectiveness.
Delivering high quality work standards across the estate, with year-on-year improvement.
Using problem-solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
Own tasks at a local level through to completion/resolution, informing key stakeholders through the process.
Using mobile devices to drive best practice in work completion and updates.
Use business systems to drive best practice in work order reporting to support asset lifecycle management.
Supporting KPI delivery, through practical application of skill sets and effective use of systems to achieve your KPIs.
